Williamsport - Teddy Maxwell Bacon, 82, of rural Williamsport, passed away at his home, with his family by his side, on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 3:02 a.m.
Teddy was born in Danville, Illinois on November 16, 1941.  He was the son of the late Ted and Ruby (Reynolds) Bacon.  He was raised near Talbott and graduated from Ambia High School in 1960, where he excelled in basketball and track.  He later attended Ball State and Purdue Universities.
Teddy later moved to the Boswell area and then settled on the farm in Pine Township in Warren County on September of 1970.
He enjoyed his farm life in Pine Township where he would raise cattle, primarily Angus cattle.  He raised calves and sold them nationwide to 4-Hers to show during Fair time.  He had several successful Grand Champions in various states around the country.  Being the athlete that he was, he enjoyed playing intermural basketball locally until his older years.  He loved sports and was an avid Purdue sports fan and Chicago Cubs fan.  Teddy had served in the Indiana National Guard.
On October 23, 1966, Teddy married Rebecca Ann Young in Hoopeston, IL.  She preceded him in death on April 30, 2021.
Teddy leaves behind a son, Todd (Carmen) Bacon, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Lisa (Todd) Bond, Lakeland, FL and Lacey (Dustin) Stonebraker, Avon, IN; a sister, Marjory (Clifford) Hall, Lafayette; five grandchildren, Dakota (Dylan) Sterrett, Maverick (Hannah) Bacon, Isaac Bacon, Teegan Bacon and Tyler Bond; three great-grandchildren, Bentley, Harper and Cash.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Bacon and a sister Virginia Perkins.
There will be a private family service held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with private family burial in the Rainsville Cemetery to follow.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County 4-H Foundation.
