Romney - Terry Stephen Gerard, Jr., 48, Romney and formerly of Attica, passed away in the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 4:59 p.m.
Terry was born in Home Hospital, Lafayette on July 18, 1977. He was the son of Virginia Rose (Howard) Scherer and the late Terry Stephen Gerard, Sr. He was raised in Attica and attended Attica High School. He received an Associates Degree from Danville Area Community College in Wind Turbine Mechanics.
For the past six years, Terry had been working with Reynolds Heating & Air Conditioning as a HVAC service man.
Terry had attended the Attica First United Methodist Church. His favorite past time was fishing. He enjoyed gun smithing and iron working. He was a skilled welder.
Terry was formerly married to Shellie Larson.
Terry leaves behind his mother, Virginia (companion-Brian Wiegand) Scherer, Attica; four sons, John (Michaelah) Gerard, Lafayette; Trevor (Katie) Gerard, Covington; Travis (Kortnee) Gerard, Fowler; Greyson Gerard, Covington; his companion of ten years, Angel Wang along with her grandsons, Carson and Waylon, all of Romney; two sisters, Crystal Halsema, Williamsport and Lori (Anthony) Simmons, Attica; a brother, James Wesley Gerard, Williamsport; five grandchildren, Colton Jordan, Martha Jordan, Helena Jordan, Henry Jordan and Alaska Gerard; several nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and his step father, Robert Scherer, who helped raise Terry.
Friends may call at the Attica First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Jackson St., Attica, on Saturday, July 26th, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Monica McDougal officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Unity Dinners c/o Attica First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Jackson St., Attica, IN 47918.
