Attica - Tommy Lynn Roysdon, 61, Attica, passed away at his home in Attica, following his failing health with cancer, on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:24 p.m.
Tommy was born in Stearns, Kentucky on July 21, 1959. He was the son of Lillie (Jones) Roysdon of Attica and the late Doris "Mouse" Roysdon. Tommy and the family moved to Indiana in 1965 and later settled in Attica. Tommy attended Attica High School.
Tommy had formerly worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica and was presently working as a machinist at TMF in Williamsport for 14 years.
Tommy was baptized in the Baptist Church in Attica and later recommitted his life to Christ in the Attica Christian Church. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting mushrooms and ginseng. He also liked to fish and play the guitar. He was an avid music fan of rock 'n roll. In his early years he enjoyed working on cars.
In July 1989 Tommy married Katie Ping in Covington, IN. They later divorced.
He leaves behind a son, T.J. Roysdon, Attica; three step-sons, Michael Powell, Timothy Powell and Anthony (Brenda) Powell, all of Veedersburg; his mother, Lillie Roysdon, Attica; two sisters, Kathy (Steve) Gibson and Sandra (Kevin) Hanson, both of Attica; two brothers, Kenny (Kelly) Roysdon, Attica and William "Willie" (Mary) Roysdon, Williamsport; a half-sister, Kimberly Kidd, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren and a soon to be great-granddaughter due in October; his pet dog, Oscar. He was preceded in death by his father, Doris "Mouse" Roysdon.
Friends may call at the Attica Christian Church, 411 E. Sycamore St., Attica, on Wednesday, May 5th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Hunter Chadwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
