Attica - Wanda Lee (Frasch) Snell, 93, Mulberry and formerly of Attica, passed away in the Mulberry Health Center, Mulberry, IN on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 7:35 p.m.
Wanda was born in Warren Township of Warren County, Indiana on May 16, 1929. She was the daughter of the late James "Fred" and Lucile (Perigo) Frasch. Wanda was raised in Warren County, graduating from Pine Village High School in 1947. She received her nursing degree from the Lakeview School of Nursing in Danville, IL. She had lived in Georgia, New York and Germany while her husband was in the service. She and her husband lived in rural Attica for more than 40 years before her move to Mulberry.
Wanda served as a registered nurse at Home Hospital in Lafayette for 13 ½ years.
She had been a member of the West Point Baptist Church, First Baptist Church in Attica and was a member of the Wea Ridge Baptist Church in Lafayette. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting and needle point.
On January 7, 1951, Wanda married James "Jim" L. Snell in Independence, IN. Jim preceded Wanda in death on November 27, 2015.
Wanda leaves behind two daughters, Susan Snell, Valparaiso, IN and Linda (Bruce) Klein, Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Shirley Markley and a brother, Bill (Sandy) Frasch, both of Attica; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Brunk and a brother, Wade Frasch.
A celebration of Wanda's life will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, November 5th, at 11:00 a.m. with her grandchildren, Jon Klein, James Klein and Josie Klein-Lewber speaking. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Springs Safe House, 505 S. Perry St., P.O. Box 244, Attica, IN 47918.
