Attica - William "Bill" D. Brown, Jr., 67, Attica, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 10:28 a.m.
Bill was born in Vincennes, Indiana on January 11, 1953. He was the son of the late William D. and Lola (Grandjean) Brown. Bill grew up in New Whiteland and graduated from Whiteland High School in 1971. While in school, Bill played varsity basketball and played trumpet in the high school band. He later moved to Newport and has resided in Attica for the past 22 years.
Bill worked at C & D Battery in Attica retiring in 2018. While at C & D, Bill worked as a plate processor in the Pasting Department and later as a Caster in the Casting Department before his retirement.
Bill was baptized in the Catholic faith on September 12, 2019. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to fish, go squirrel hunting and mushrooming. He enjoyed his fitness routines by weightlifting. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, but his favorite past time was spending time with his family.
On December 31, 1999, Bill married Alisia Michele (Field) Frodge in Attica.
He leaves behind his wife, Michele of nearly 21 years; a son, Ryan (Lindsey) Frodge, West Lafayette; two daughters, Kelly (fiancé-Jon Hunt) Frodge and Melissa (Josh) Hall, both of Attica; two sisters, Deborah (Steve) Coomer, Vincennes, IN and Karen Tribby, Port Orange, FL; seven grandchildren, Brooke (fiancé-Hubert Williams) Hulet, Peyton Hall, Autumn Hall, Finley Frodge, Christian Webb, Haley Webb and James Hunt; four great-grandchildren, Gunnar, Collin, Addalyn, Emma; two nieces, Deborah (Nash) Dunn and Christina (Andrew) Procarione; two nephews, Jesse (Nicole) Coomer and Bradley (Amy) Lutes; great-nieces and great-nephews, Malachi, Evangeline, Shepard, Olivia, Liam and Finley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a good friend, Walter "Wally" Frodge along with his two pet dogs, Lucy and Willie.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica with Rev. Sam Futral officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the Paws 'n Claws Animal Shelter.
