Attica - Zella Alice (Pickett) Reitsma Whiteman, 89, Attica, passed away in the Franciscan Health East Hospital, Lafayette, on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 7:22 a.m.
Zella was born in Clay County, Indiana on October 20, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Frank Pickett and Maggie McGinty. She was raised and educated in Clay County. She later moved to Arizona where she worked for Motorola in Mesa. She also worked at various sewing factories. She has resided in Attica for the past 10 years.
She enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Zella was formerly married to Henry Reitsma and Charles Whiteman.
She leaves behind two sons, Gary (Amber) Reitsma and Troy Reitsma, both of Attica. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Reitsma; a brother, Martin Pickett and a sister, Opal.
Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Tuesday, April 20th, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
